Drinks can transformed into metal duck

cockerel project1

We had an email from the dad of an inventive young chap who has managed to take a cold drink can and some and paper clips, and turn them into a rather fetching metal duck.

Alex, 12 years old, created the piece as part of a school project which was to create a “Metal Creature”. The idea to make it a duck was Alex’s own.
The base was a biscuit tin lid, the body a coke can and the beak a bull dog clip. The only items that were bought were the mesh wings and some silver spray paint. Everything was held together courtesy of the glue gun from Glue Guns Direct.
