CasttecTM Precast Concrete Adhesive
Hot melt adhesive gun systems for the precast concrete industry.
CASTTEC42-43-043-ARP-BX10-TEC General purpose adhesive for bonding a wide range of materials – recrystallises for an easy clean down.
CASTTEC45-43-043-WEO-BX10-TEC Designed for use in colder environments – longer recrystallises, offers stronger bonds at lower temperatures.
CASTTEC40-43-043-WEO-BX10-TEC For use with fibre glass, urethane or epoxy coated forms. Cleans without surface damage on forms not made of steel.
CASTTEC43-43-043-WEO-BX10-TEC Precast adhesive for use when repeated pours are required without resetting the form. Is harder to clean up but will reduce the amount of work resetting forms that repeat in design daily.
Casttec glue and the tec range of heavy-duty industrial glue guns is the faster, more cost-effective way for the concrete industry to fix both structural and architectural accessories & fixings to precast concrete forms.
This one-step process does not require primer, and once the parts are brought together the adhesive sets instantly to provide a bond that is strong enough to withstand the pouring and vibrations that occur during mould filling. Once the concrete has set, the section can be easily removed and any adhesive residue on the mould base can simply be scraped off for a fast and easy clean up. Which means that the forms can be quickly reset for the next piece.
The non-destructive casttec system not only saves time, it also prevents damage occurring to the forms by eliminating the need for magnets, double sided tape, drill and bolts, and welding.
The tec tools listed are available with various power ratings that determine the melt rate and the adhesive output. The all-electric 400 watt tec 3400 dispenses up to 3.8 kg (8¼lb) of adhesive per hour, with the electric/pneumatic 1000 watt tec 7300 dispensing up to 5.25 kg (11½lb) of adhesive per hour.
Tec glue guns can apply the adhesive in bead, dot and spray patterns to suit almost every application. The tec 6300 and 7300 are specially adapted to apply the adhesive in a spray pattern to cover a larger area, making them particularly suitable for Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) mould elements.
