ProWood wood glue FAQs

What is ProWood wood glue?

ProWood is a range of PVA wood adhesives for joinery, furniture making and wood assembly. It is made in Britain and comes in two grades, D3 and D4, both tested for water resistance to BS EN 204.

Should I choose ProWood D3 or D4?

Choose ProWood D3 for most interior work and for outdoor work that is sheltered from the weather. Choose ProWood D4 for external joinery and anything exposed to rain or long periods of damp. Exterior joints should still be protected with a paint, varnish or other surface coating.

How long does ProWood wood glue take to dry?

ProWood D3 sets in around 10 minutes and dries clear. Both D3 and D4 reach full cure after 8 hours at 20°C, giving a bond that is stronger than the wood itself.

Can I use ProWood on MDF, plywood and chipboard?

Yes. Both ProWood D3 and D4 bond MDF, plywood, chipboard and other wood-based boards as well as solid timber, so they suit furniture assembly and cabinet making.

What pack sizes does ProWood come in?

Both grades are available as a single 1 litre bottle, a case of 12 x 1 litre, a 5 litre container, a case of 4 x 5 litres and a 25 litre drum.

Can I get a trade price on ProWood?

Yes. If you are buying in bulk, call us on 0161 627 1001 and we will quote you a better price.
